omg it was crazy! It snowed 6.5 inches today (weather.com said so), I have never been where it snowed so much. It started heavy about 3am and keep snowing until around 1pm. I had to call in to work cause there were so many wrecks (even in the complex) and I also have no clue how to drive in the snow, so i was a little scared, so was Bryce.

Bikkit loved the snow, it came up to her belly, so she was jumping in it all over. She got too cold so we could only walk half as long as we are used to. She would start to shiver but still be excited, so we had to pick her up and stick her in bryce's jacket to carry her home.

So much fun, so gorgeous, I loved it.

I think the roads should be fine tomorrow, so see some of ya at work :)

SNOW!!!!

Today was a great day :) Bryce and I were gonna go to a movie, since it has been awhile since we had the weekend off together. When we got outside, we realized how nice of a day it was, so we decided to take Bikkit and go to Umstead State Park. We hiked/walked for about an hour before the wind came and the temperature started to fall. Bikkit had sooo much fun!

Biggest thing...Bravo is coming to Time Warner in NC!!!!! as of dec 31st I will be back to watching my fav shows without Bryce downloading them for me.

Bryce and I will spend christmas with Bikkit at home, I am good, only looking forward to the ham and black eyed peas that I will be cooking. To make it more special I think I might make corned beef hash and eggs for breakfast (that is a Kreyling family tradition for a nice breakfast) I am also making Trifle (another family tradition), but just enough for me cause Bryce doesn't really like fruit mixed in with other stuff (he's a texture freak).

I made a ton of cookies last night, I found a recipe for Chocolate Mint Dreams, it was neat, but the recipe did not call for eggs, just confectioner sugar and butter pretty much. So they are VERY crumbly, so the next set of cookies I made, I found a recipe for chocolate cookies that held up very well (it had egg) and used the mint frosting on top of both :)

sorry guys, I completely forgot to post in the past month or two? I think it has been two months. anyways, new news...hmmmm Well Lowe's has cut back on my hours, but that's ok cause I will stick it out and get more hours at some point. We have a christmas tree up, with lights outside and stockings hung on the mantle. It has flurried three times (that was a bit ago, it has gotten crappily cold but no snow), the fall colors were gorgeous. We are going to GULF WARS!!! tickets have been bought! For thanksgiving we went to DC to visit dad's family, that was nice to see grammie up and about. She responded very well to my cousin's 3 month old son (sooo cute)! Some coworker of Bryce's got EVERYONE at the office sick along with their spouses on Thanksgiving, yes that included my being sick and missing dinner with my parents, for the second year in a row :P

The first wave of christmas by ourselves hit me last night, but we are making our own traditions, we went to the Cary Towne Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. It had carolers and bell-ringers, it was really nice. We were cold but we snuggled and cooed at bundled babies :)

It will be a lean christmas, so the only things that we can send out are christmas cards, paying for everything on our own is expensive, but it is also nice that we can afford not to rely on family paying for everything :)

Bikkit is 9 months old! she is getting cuter!

woohoo, what a day. Momma and Pops (Bryce's parents) are in town. Well Momma arrived on the plane today, but Pops who hates to fly, took the train. So right now, Bryce is driving to Greensboro (1.5 hours away) to pick up Pops at 4:30am. The train had a layover before leaving at like 7am I think to go to Cary (10min from here). So they decided not to have the layover so close. Since Pops has the air mattress for them, we gave Momma our bed and I am sleeping on the couch (which isn't as comfy as my bed). So that is why I am awake, but luckily I don't work tomorrow :)

I got the new Warcraft patch which took like 5 hours to download, so if ya haven't done it, do it soon since it takes forever. But I am excited to check it out, just not right now. I am catching up on my DVR'd shows right now.

Today was a good day :) the weather is sooo awesome! this cold weather gets me all snuggly and giddy. The crazy low moves inland tomorrow, so the weather is wet with the high of 66! And I am off! So while Bryce has to drive through the cold wetness, I will be at home with my comp and hot tea! YAY!

And snaps go out to Allison, she came back from her lunch a little early so Bryce wouldn't have to wait on me when he came to pick my up after my shift...hugs!

So I am hanging and watching Dancing with the Stars, 90210, America's Next Top Model, and Project Runway.

The leaves are starting to turn, but just a little touch of red. the leaves are teasing me!!!!

Just found out that Grammie will be going home Friday! I got to talk to her on the phone, which was great, she sounded like herself, a little bit of a mumble, but not too bad. so yay!

I had today off, so I went to Hallmark to get cards, there are a ton of Bday's next month. I love getting cards. I also peeked into Michaels to see if the christmas crosstitch was out yet...it's not. But I picked up a cute lighthouse pattern for decorating our house and found something for mom. Not sure if she reads this, so I won't say what it is.

Bikkit chewed Bryce's headset in half, so I went to WallyWorld to get a new one.

Bryce has two cavities, so he got them filled in today.

The weather is awesome, we've had the AC off for like 3 days. That will save money.

And we have found out that Bikkit loves cool ranch doritos.

Dancing With the Stars is on!!!

I haven't posted in a bit so here is an update.....

Grammie will hopefully be out of Rehab next week. Rose is helping her with walking and balance, she's gotta work on mumbling so she can help Grammie with her speech therapy :)

We were hoping to visit them first weekend in October, but couldn't get the time off, so I think with in-laws visitng, we will have to wait until thanksgiving....we shall see!

Found out that the train from Cary, NC to D.C. is a decent price for two people, only $140...together, there and back, so not bad. We just have to find some time because there are only two trains that run that route.

We took Bikkit to the Lake Crabtree County Park last weekend, she had a ball! She got to walk the nature trail (about 30 min), sniff at whole new things, she stayed on the trail well, didn't like the bridges too much though :) I took the camera, but the batteries were out and Bikkit didn't hold still anyways...And I LOVE bugspray! not a single bite!

I smushed my finger!!!! It is fine, a little bruised on the cuticle, but seriously it hurt! I whined a bit, it was late in the shift at work and I was being a dork.

I am determined to stay up late tonight, I don't have to work until 1pm...I will stay up late, I am not a married old woman who can't stay up past 10pm...see it's already 11pm!

This is getting long, but it has been awhile...I'm watching the new What Not to Wear, and the chick is crying too much so I don't get to see all the clothes and shoes!!!

Anyways, gots ta go, my typing is sucking cause I am tired, I mean NO, I AM NOT TIRED!!!!

Ug, I hate it when you can't sleep cause your tummy hurts :(

Mom and Dad visited for dinner, they were driving back to LA after they visited Grammie and Papa and dropped Rose off there (she will be making sure Papa eats right and the house stays clean and such). We went to Neo-China which we heard was good. I guess it was my nervous stomach or something, all I ate was the egg roll, then we got home and saw Mom and Dad off..Then the stomach cramps started. They went away finally, but now I can't go back to sleep. My stomach just feels blech.

Luckily I have the Colts vs. Bears game taped, so gonna watch it. I think I will have to call in to work :( I hate that, but Mondays are slow so I think they will be fine. Just have to make sure there is plenty of time to find someone to fill in.

I got really hungry, which to me is a good sign, but I had some yogurt, and that made it worse...


Anyways just sitting downstairs with a Bikkit asleep next to me.

So since it is now our time to deal with the weather :P So today is my day off, and I will be cooking all day and freezing the chili and zuppa. Then I am making Red Beans and Rice and that will last a few days. Luckily Teeter was having a sale on their spagetti-o's and beans and franks, so I got some of that. I also got 2 gallons of water that are sitting in the freezer right now. Also some batteries.

I am hoping that I have over re-acted and we will not need all that canned food, but y'know spagetti-o's are great anyways :P

If our power goes out, I get to cook in the fire place :)

Mom and Dad are on day 2.5 without power...they are sooo bored right now. They got water and gas, so they have hot meals cause they have a gas stove so that's good.

Oh! btw Grammie is doing sooo much better, she has started talking to the doctors, she is still a little foggy with family members, but she is smiling at them and she has started walking with help. So hopefully she can get out of the hospital in the next week and move to a Rehab center for her balance and speech :)

August 17th, my grammie (dad's mom)tripped in the garage and fell face first on the concrete floor. She was unconscious while papa dialed 911. She was on cumadin (which thins the blood and makes you bleed easier/faster) so there was a lot of blood loss....no one dies in this story, just to let you know....some blood went in her brain, or around it I guess and she was acting like she had a massive stroke. She was flaying around, so we knew that her body was fine, but not her brain yet. A few days pass, she is still like that, then she opens her eyes and smiles at Papa, so we are all happy. the next day, she opens her eyes and doesn't recognize anyone and gets combative, so the doctors said to leave her alone, especially family members. So off and on she went, until two days ago, they were worried cause she broke her arm when she was thrashing around in the bed. They were also worried about her neck from whiplash. well yesterday, aunt Debbie and her private nurse, propped Grammie up in bed, she slept a little, then lifted her head and smiled a huge smile at Papa.

Grammie hasn't spoke, but she does listen to commands when they have been repeated. The swelling/bleeding in her head has gone down a lot. She will have good days and bad days, but they are slowing getting better. They doctors said that she will have to go into Rehab in a nursing home to help with balance and speech.

That's why I haven't been posting or anything..it's so crazy.

On a brighter note, Bryce is glad that we don't have to go to The Greenbrier and wear a suit for two days :P

And Warhammer trial run is out too.

It was weird. I was at work today, being a slow day I will start to daydream and just think about random things. I went to the restroom and noticed that the ladies room was on the left, but in my head I said "Ladies are alway right" (which to those who can't read my mind, is the way I remember that in SCA dance, Ladies are on the Lords' right). then I got incredibly homesick.

I mean I miss the SCA, but I REALLY REALLY miss all my friends and family. The group here is ok. The Canton that I am in is not very dance oriented and we just kinda hang during meetings. There is another canton in Chapel Hill that do dance, but it is 45 min away. Which to some I guess isn't too far to drive every week back and forth for a meeting. I think the biggest thing that I have realized is that I have never been the new kid in town at an sca event. even at florida, someone there new me, so it's weird that i am suddenly incredibly shy around people.

September 19-21, there is an event that is very close, so I am hoping to go there and meet people.


Don't get me wrong with this little whine-fest. I have met a bunch of people, I am becoming friends with some of the people at work, the guys at bryce's work are great and we have gone out twice with them. So no, i am not miserable and lonely, I love it with me and bryce, bikkit makes it soo not boring. I am happy, just missing my family some. I suck at remembering to call people too. I am soooo much better at e-mailing :)

So I went to the Barnes and Noble Romance Book Club and I had a lot of fun! We just sat around and ate some free brownies and cheesecake with some coffee. I hadn't read the book that they discussed, but they talked about their likes and dislikes and so on. Then we just chatted about our fav books/authors, when and why we started to read romance. Then we just gabbed and talked in circles. It was a lot of fun! I got my chick fix :)

So the cool part is that if we choose a local author, they usually show up for the discussion. I met Deb Marlowe who is a member of the club, so I bought her 3rd book, Scandalous Lord, Rebellious Miss. We are gonna read and discuss and anthology called Private Places (Robin schone, Claudia dain, Allyson james, and Shiloh Walker) we are gonna meet Caludia Dain next month. I think that's really neat :)

For October we chose Unstable Environment by Marcia Colette, then we found out it was her first book published so we were all excited and hope that she will make it out.

It was just cool and fun:)

bikkit is doing sooo much better! yay! This morning she was acting like her normal self, and she is sooo hungry, but we still have to monitor how much she is eating so her tummy doesn't get over-loaded. She is not happy about that, but we are feeding her more than the doctor said because of her hunger, she has kept everything down, so we are good with it. right now she is taking a nap, i think she is still a little worn out from being sick.

We made a big purchase yesterday, I'm kinda proud of it too. We got an exercise bike. So now we can sit and read and exercise at the same time, while not wondering if that person over there is just waiting for me to move. Bryce has said that he doesn't want anymore cookies or ice cream right now so he can get back to being in shape and healthy. I wonder how long that will work :) It might last cause he won't and couldn't ever give up his ice pops, so that will give him the cold/sweetness that he loves.

I found out that Barnes and Noble here has a romance book club that will meet tomorrow, so i'm gonna check it out and hope to have fun. At least I will get free food there :)

Bikkit got sick :(

Friday she had diarrhea and got sick, then saturday she seemed to be doing better then got diarrhea again that night. This morning she didn't wake us up at 8am (which i didn't notice at the time), when I got her at 9am, she had gotten sick all over the floor of her room. So we took her to the vet, all vital signs good. Since they checked out fine, the vet said that she was going to be conservative in the treatment and not do a blood/xray test. She thinks it is just gastroenteritis (sp?) and gave her a shot of fluids and some meds to help with diarrhea. She kept the little bit of canned food and medicine down. So I am thinking she just ate something weird, like a bug. I have today and tomorrow off so I can keep an eye on her.

So Amazon is great and here is why: Sherrilyn Kenyon has a new book that is releasing August 5th. It is hard cover so retail price is 25 bucks! well, amazon has it for 15.78 and with shipping is still cheaper than driving to barnes and noble and buying it! So I am happy :)

Also today bryce and I spent the day out together, we went dress shopping cause for Labor Day we will be at the Greenbrier Resort in WV for a family reunion/Grammy and Papa's 65th wedding anniversary. So must dress nice cause the resort itself has a dress code! Well I was looking for a cocktail dress to wear to The Dinner, but found nothing that I really liked and wanted to spend money on. We found something at The Limited, it looked cute on me, except that it is black. I already have a black cocktail dress. If it was a different color I would really like it and be willing to pay 80 dollars for it :P So Bryce said to think on it and keep looking. We went to Old Navy and I found the dress. It is not a cocktail dress, but I can wear it to the Thing. It is a really cute cotton sunddress that is navy blue and white :) I really really like it and it was 30 dollars. So I will wear the same cocktail dress that I did 5 years ago. I think my family will survive :P

So the squirrel is gone from the attic. Thank God! So we got to move back into our bedroom. sweet! now I just need to find a decent priced chest of drawers. I so can't find any that I am willing to pay that much money for! bryce mentioned that he couldn't see the tv over my feet cause of how high the plastic box that the tv is on. My feet are NOT that big! So that is bugging me a ton, like a bad twitch, I can't stand that he can't see it cause I can't find a damn thing to put it on!

So before my rant, we got a $25 gift card to TGIFridays because we were such good tenants even though the craziness that has happened in the 1.5 months that we have lived here: squirrel/hole in ceiling. Bryce wanted to have one month free rent :P I gave him the corporate website so he can send an email to them if he really wants it.
