1:58PM - mmmmmm....food
today is a good day, so was yesterday. yesterday bryce and i went to bed bath and beyond and we finally found a storage shelf to stand behind the toilet. it's kinda cute, white (not wire, but the stuff that brass beds are made out of, i can't think of the name:P). So now we have an empty sink which is great and easy to clean. then we took Bikkit to the tennis courts and started to train her to walk with us, like we walk at a walking pace and if she runs somewhere, we turn in the opposite direction. Took her a few tries, but she finally learned to look for us:)
Today we just stayed inside and being lazy in our pjs. but I am trying a new recipe. I'm making egg rolls, except I couldn't find any egg roll wrappers, I found spring roll wrappers, so I hope they come out well. When I got the wrappers out I realized that they were pretty much stiff rice paper and went online to find out what to do to them to make them flexible. Google is a great thing, I found someone who came across the same problem and explained how to fix it. Two broke, but the others did well. Now Bryce is cooking the chicken to go in the fried rice.
We found a great butcher/gourmet deli like Cavalleri's in Oviedo. It's called The Fresh Market. Check them out, they are in most states and have a website freshmarket.com
Anyways gots ta go
PS we got a DVR so now we are watching the Olympic Trials on NBC and MSNBC

8:25PM - Mishka
Mishka was my sister's Siberian Husky. He was 13 years old. Yesterday he had a bad seizure and couldn't walk. Today he was unresponsive. And 15 min ago he was put to sleep.

7:16PM - puppy mommie
I have to say, I LOVE being a puppy mommie :) If I feel poopy, there is an adorable puppy to play with. OK one question...Why in the world is Bikkit hiding her chew bones in my couch? I turn around and she has stuffed it down the cushion or behind a pillow. As I am typing this, she is trying to hide it under my butt! She has a bed that has a cushion with 4 sides so there is plenty of room to hide a chew bone. but no, she's gotta be a puppy and hide things in my couch :)
Tomorrow she will be 4 months old. It has seemed longer than that. we've only had her two months. wow. her gecko is about to lose an arm and a leg, so we will have to get a replacement. hopefully she will stop eating the carpet so we don't have to lock her up during the day when i have to run out for a bit.
There are some tennis courts here that are completely fenced in, so some nights we take bikkit there and take the leash off and let her run full out. its really cute to see her ears down and tongue out running at full speed after the tennis ball.
pretty soon we are going to start training her to sit and heel/heal/how is it spelled?
anyways puppy babies are fun :)

12:22PM - stuff.......
Not much going on here, we moved the couch so it is diagonally in the middle of the room. Why you ask? because the xbox controller will reach to the couch now. I think sitting in a couch while playing Legos Indiana Jones is very comfortable. I have plans of what to do with the empty wall. I wanna put a long, skinny table next to the floor lamp and something wrought iron on the wall. i just realized that we left our bedroom curtains for our roommates in FL so now I need to scour the area for a fabric store, found a JoAnns but it is 20 min away, we shall see. now what color do I want? no clue. Today we will start putting together the bookshelves to go under the kitchen counter in the dining room. I wanna get horizontal plate hangers (3) for my wedding china plates cause they are pretty.
The weather is awesome: High is 81 degrees and the humidity is a whopping 53% sooo nice!
Talk to ya laters!

3:17PM - Sex and the City
I was determined to finish all 6 seasons of sex and the city. And I did, just watched the last episode, and now I am sad, cause I can't watch anymore. Maybe Bryce can watch The Happening and I can watch Sex and the City.
For my birthday (26th), Bryce and I went to Brasa Steakhouse, which is a Brazilian Steakhouse. It was better than Texas de Brazil because it was quieter (or more quiet?) at Brasa. Plus it is 35 dollars for the steak parade, not 50. It was sweet, just the two of us, listening to the live piano and being happy that we can actually afford this kind of expense for a special occasion.
I think we finally found a tv stand/cabinet that we like at target, but we still have to shop around. And it is the hardest thing to find bookshelves that are the short, long kind. we might have to go to target.com, cause the shelves that we had in florida were from target. I am still looking for a job, but we can afford to be picky. My paycheck will go towards paying off credit cards and laptop, so we can get those out of the way, cause Bryce wants a new tv for the living room that is (not LCD but the other kind i think) and HDTV.
I like it here a lot. There are a ton of trees (I can so NOT wait til fall!) and the town does a lot of picnics, like tomorrow is Picnic in the Park with fireworks. The people are nice and Bryce really likes his job. I do miss my family and friends and I wish I could have seen Ashi get knighted tomorrow, but alas it was not meant to be. So anyone who will be there, take a ton of pictures and send them to me.
Lots of hugs to everyone!

4:00PM - update from north carolina
well, we have unloaded everything from the truck and car, now we are in the slow process of unpacking all the boxes. we found out that we have to buy a microwave and some pots. I only have a large pot. We left our car unlocked the first night we arrived. the next day we found out that someone (we think a kid) stole the face of our radio/cd player and the remote to the Sirius. But they didn't steal the Sirius itself or the checkbook in the front console. so that's why we think they are kids. the annoying thing is that we can't turn on the radio because the face is missing. I am applying for jobs right now, so we will see what happens. There is a restaurant/bar that is next to bryce's work, so we may try there and see if a bank makes noises. It's a nice restaurant and it is closed on the weekends, so I really wouldn't mind working there. There is a Harris Teeter down the street. It is a 24hr neighborhood market, a little expensive, but not a bad drive considering the nearest target/walmart is 20 min away. Only complaint about the house is there is no silverware caddy in the dishwasher, they are ordering it to replace ours. I have to start sewing to make two sets of curtains for the living room and kitchen.
Bryce has started his first day at work and he is enjoying it. All the people are friendly and the benefits are awesome. It is also a 10min drive from home. I get my laptop in the next day or so, which is great because i can play while bryce is home. right now we have to share one comp. We have blown through all of our gift cards in two days! I never realized how much money it costs to start from scratch when you move. I'm just glad that we have family who are willing to help with beginning costs. Once bryce gets his first paycheck in two weeks, i will feel much better about expenses.
I found a forum that is with the barony that I am in now, but Atlantia doesn't have a yahoo group like Gleann Abhann, so that's a bummer that I can't get to know anyone yet. The first event is the 13th and i have no clue where it is, I'm learning the area though.
anyways, call me anytime

11:23PM - mary and bryce update
If I haven't called you and told you in person, sorry, we have been overwhelmed today :)
Ok here it is, Bryce has received and accepted an offer from Virtual Heroes in Durham, NC. He will be one of their animators and he starts work June 2nd. We found out today and in one day we have also found ourselves a great townhouse in Morrisville, NC. We don't have the exact address yet, we have to sign a bunch of papers. We will be moving May 27th. This is so awesome!

9:30PM - Puppy!!!!!
We are getting a puppy tomorrow! She is an 8 month old Yorkshire terrier. she is dark brown/black on top and lighter brown/red on the belly and inside ears and parts of her face. she is the cutest thing ever :) Her name is Noodles (that's what Bryce named his pet alligator in EQ). We were gonna name her Muppin (inside joke from Oviedo crew) but she is so exploratory that it was too girly of a name (I thought). Once I can figure out how to post pics here, I will :)

11:02AM - silliness
ok so one of my favorite authors (Katie MacAlister) had a competition where the prize is the next book in her dragon series (that she just finished). We had to write a Haiku (the first line must have five syllables, the second seven syllables, and the third five syllables)
So this is what I wrote:
My Silver Dragon, Forget about Aisling Grey, blow YOUR flames on ME!
Silly eh? well i got up this morning to check my e-mail and I got this: Congratulations! You have won a Playing With Fire ARC, courtesy of a random draw in my recent PWF Haiku contest. Yay you!
Please send me your mailing address so I can get the ARC out to you pronto.
Best,
Katie (full of shadow priesty goodness)
Duude it is soo cool that I won it! And she plays WOW!
It's gonna be a great day!

12:12AM - A good Day
I had a great day today, which i am happy about :P
At work we had a huge buy one get one free sale, well a bunch of customers didn't know about it, so i got to surprise a ton of them, so that made me happy :)
Then I came home and I could tell that Bryce was feeling a whole lot better (he had a terrible stomach bug for the past 6 days) so that made me feel better, i was worried.
Then we are going to see John Thomas tomorrow and I am gonna wear my new outfit that I bought from sears (yay for discounts) Its a really cute skirt that flares/flirty and a cute teal tank with it :)
so yeah, then we will be at coronation next weekend.
:)

1:14AM - I can't sleep
Ok so I can't sleep (duh), So since everyone else is asleep, i have to just get this off my chest. I really think this is all craziness that i am worrying about it. I think that i am stressed a little cause we are still in MS, living with roommates, and it's that time of the month, also because it's 2 am.
I can't sleep because i can't make a final decision between school and kids. I want kids, so does bryce, our plan is he gets the job, and I have kids. I am happy with that, I REALLY am. But then I think, well maybe we won't be able to afford me not to work with kids, y'know. But I don't have a degree, I think I have enough for an associates, but I don't really know how to find out. Do I call southern and ask them? will it take forever and a mountain of paperwork that is really annoying? How close am I to a bachelors? Should i get a degree before worrying about kids? which is more important?
My mother and grandmother say get a degree first. mom has been there with kids without the degree, but she got her masters with two kids and is happy. Travis and Michelle (who are our age) have a kid, and are both working on their degrees right now. Bryce and I have both talked about what I want more. I want to have a baby, real bad. I want to watch him hold our child, i want to be pregnant, i want a baby, not just because gee they are cute, i want to take care of it.
School will always be there. Having a healthy child will not. I think being a mother is more important than school right now for me. Plus online classes are all over the place.
I just thought that right now I am being soo dramatic :) I just wanted to blab so that my mind can rest and i can sleep.
First things first, bryce needs to get a job in the industry, then we will make our decision. hopefully we will have an answer soon. I'm tired of waiting, but what else can I do? I don't even know where we will be in two months, I hope not here. So I can't enroll because what's the point if I have to leave and don't want to pay out of state tuition (because it is way too expensive and retarded).
Thanks for listening to my whining :)

7:13AM - Post gulf Wars
This Gulf wars was awesome! It sucks that I had to leave Saturday night so I could be at work 645 am :P
I was able to get out monday afternoon, we already had our yurt set up, so all we had to do was unpack. I spent the whole week with kassie and bryce, so that was great. even though bryce and I see eachother all the time, we never have ALONE time since we still have roommates. So it was nice to walk around at night, holding hands, and able to stay in the same tent. because the last gulf wars we went to, we weren't married (and there were people watching closely to make sure we didn't stay in the same tent).
the dinner at stephan's was a lot of fun. bryce got to hang with all the debil's associates. I got to see my all my sistas, it had been awhile since we last hung out.
The weird part of the war, I didn't dance. I know! I didn't specifically decided not to dance, it just didn't happen. One, the main hall was HOT as CRAP at the beginning of the war. then when the hall started to cool down, as in turned off the heat, I was soo tired at night, i couldn't get enough energy. I swear I went to bed about 11pm every night, which is weird cause sometimes i will stay up at home.
I got to fence in the field battle (I killed 4 fencers!), I got to muster for the first time, so that got me into the fighting mood. I got to watch Illisa and Isolde dance, which was an awesome thing cause they both are really really great dancers.
I got to watch bryce be in the drum circle that he had wanted to be in for years. the drum circles had apparently died down in the past few years. I got to watch all the fighting and the opening ceremonies, cause last time, I was a shift leader of troll, and didn't get to see it either because I was on duty, or I was asleep from getting off duty.
I did kinda miss helping out at troll, but not too much :P
We are going to go to coronation in april, so hope to see everyone there!

2:44PM - 10 days til Gulf Wars!
Ok so technically for me, 10 days til Gulf Wars because bryce and I won't be there until tuesday (the 11th). But I'm still crazy excited....plus we will be coming down the 6th to help MommD and Pops set up their stuff, then we have to go back to Mccomb 'cause I gots ta work :(
I am packing as much as I can without Bryce (he's in piicayune with his dad, working on the GW fort). I just can't wait, I'm so excited to see everyone :) And I will be fencing in the ravine, field, and fort battles :D
duuuude can sooo not wait!
We will be staying in our yurt at Bastarmark (Early Period) If ya can't find us there, check out the dancing every night, I will be poking my head in every-so-often. Also mommaD and pops will be staying where they always stay (handicapped area).
WOOOT!!!!!

4:47PM - been a while
So I guess I should post something shouldn't I? Well nothing really happens in McComb, so that's why I am so quiet.
I finally got to meet Ann-Kristen, the German exchange student who is friends with Bryce and Gabe (they all met in high school and we have been emailing each other for about a year now). that was a lot of fun :) she's great.
Bryce and I went to Mardi Gras in Lafayette, LA with my parents. And I loved it. Their friend reserved 4 parking spots next to the parade route. So we had two pavilions, a grill, chairs, AND our own personal Porta-potty! That was the way to do Mardi Gras. Sooo much better than the Mardi Gras in the French Quarter my freshman year of college.
I got a bad cold from my sister, but i am about to get rid of it. I just have this terrible cough that won't go away.
As of right now, we are going to Gulf Wars, Bryce and I will be there Thursday to Sunday. Camping at the Early period encampment with our 16ft yurt :) So if it rains, we will be very dry :)
Ummm that's about it, see y'all laters
